When to visit Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous destinations for gorilla trekking in Africa.
Gorilla trekking runs all year with the dry season running from June to September and December to February. During these months the trails are drier and more accessible which can help with spotting wildlife.
Bwindi experiences two rainy seasons, from March to May and October to November. During this time, the forest is lush and green with fewer visitors.
Birdwatching in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is fantastic year round, with some migratory birds more active during the wetter months.
