Weather at Sanctuary Kichakani

Serengeti National Park in Tanzania experiences distinct wet and dry seasons, and there are some differences in climate between the northern and southern parts of the park.

Dry Season (June to October): Weather is generally dry with comfortable temperatures. Mornings and evenings can be quite cool, while daytime temperatures are warm. Short rains may start at the end of October.

Wet Season (November to May): The wet season is divided into two sub-seasons: the "short rains" from November to December and the "long rains" from March to May. The wet season can be a great time for birdwatching, and it's the calving season for the wildebeests in the southern Serengeti.
